Levitation

Hi everybody,

I’ve been absence for a while due to my finals for this semester and I’m really sorry about that. But now I’m back!

I went to see my grandma today and my oldest cousin so I took the opportunity to have some photo fun with her.

We went into a field and decided to try levitation. If you’ve never heard of levitation photography you should check it out. It’s pretty cool and not too hard to do.

If you’re interested in a tutorial just let me now in the comment box and I’d be happy to show you how it’s done.

So here’s two pics of me and my cousin levitating. Enjoy! :)

Rock the Shot January Photo Challenge- Favorite Shot of 2012

Here’s my favorite shot of 2012. It’s an engagement session I got to shoot from a really sweet couple with a great Story. She’s brazilian and used to be an AuPair in Connecticut. She fell in love with an American but she had to go back home because her Visa expired. After being in a long distance relationship for over a year he asked her to marry her in this State Park (Sleeping Giant State Park, CT)  while she visited him. This is real movie potential! <3

What I like most about this image is how the river reflected the sun. It’s adds a really dreamy effect.

Engagement Photoshoot – Ben&Fer

This cute couple gets married this Saturday and I was lucky enough to shoot an engagement session before theire big day.

She’s brasilian and he’s american. It’s an international longdistance Lovestory (those are the best kinds) at least in movies and books and apparently it works perfectly in real life too.

We went to the Sleeping Giant Park in Hamden, Connecticut, What a beautiful piece of earth. Amazing trials and the Locations and Lighting were just amazing!

This is just a sneak picture since I’m laying flat with tonsillitis since 4 days now, meh.

Second Street Saints at Alive@Five

I had the chance to photograph the Connecticut based band Second Street Saints at the popular Music Festival Alive@Five in Stamford.

Overview: Based in Southeastern Connecticut, SSS is comprised of Rich McGowan (Vocals, Guitar), Devin McGrath (Guitar), Derek Kennedy (Bass) and Tom Kelly (Drums). They came together in early 2010 with the goal of creating intelligent pop music—songs that are pleasing to the ear but also literate, thought-out and distinctive. After months of writing and rehearsing, SSS made its public debut in late 2010 and continues to play regularly throughout Connecticut and New York. The band is also in the process of recording its first demo and recently released the singles “Time Is Running Out,” “Not Too Late,” and “It All Comes Back To You” on its Facebook page. It has also released two DIY music videos on its YouTube page and will continue to release new content throughout the year. SSS knows what it takes to make it in the music industry, and through constant touring and dedication to their craft, the band hopes to show the world what many in CT already know: SSS is the real thing.
